I graduated from Creighton University in 1968 with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, with a GPA of 3.5. While working full-time I obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from Boston University with a 3.9 GPA. I continued to apply my knowledge of higher mathematics throughout my successful career as an operations analyst.
Experience
Retired mathematician who has now been helping math students for over 5 years to improve understanding and increase confidence. I keep my rates low so that every student has an opportunity to excel. I had a very successful career applying mathematics to solving real-world problems and advising decision-makers. My approach is to build on whatever the student already knows and quickly bring them to a level that enables them to succeed in future coursework. I keep students on track with current coursework and improve grades. I focus on eliminating confusion that may have built up over time. Depending on individual needs, I have tutored students from a few weeks up to a couple years.

Hobbies
I was involved in team sports through high school, college and recreational leagues until my age finally caught up with me. Then I officiated for a while. I was the president of my homeowner's association for nearly 15 years. I foster kitties for the local shelter and enjoy computer gaming, but I really prefer to spend my free time helping others become proficient in math.
